A ranger was killed and another injured in a shooting carried out by gunmen on motorbikes in the southernmost province of Narathiwat on Sunday afternoon. 

A policeman was shot and injured outside his post in Narathiwat on Monday night in what is believed to be an ambush by an unknown number of insurgents, say police.
